Exactnt, I actually think MSFT will do around $6.1B (still only 6% revenue increase); to everyone's surprise it will be driven from the strong acceptance of Windows2000. Missing link: Microsoft reported 3 Million+ license sold through retail and OEM and did not include enterprise aggrements. I think the number sold through those enterprise aggrements are key as W2K is an enterprise OS.

Murphy's numbers were old estimates. He was saying that revenues would not meet the $6.1B estimates by $300M. Other analyst aside from Mary Meeker came out and said that the revised estimates were already at $5.8B, and that Murphy was using old numbers.
