GayHealth.com Runs 'Communications Roadblock' Ad Campaign for WebMD; Site Shares Its Total Audience to Promote HIV Awareness
BUSINESS WIRE - July 13, 2000 14:30
NEW YORK, Jul 13, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- GayHealth.com(TM), the world's first online health and wellness resource founded by lesbian and gay medical professionals, announced today the sale of the site's entire online advertising inventory to WebMD.com.

The WebMD.com ads will run on GayHealth.com(TM) for two weeks in July.

The advertisements will promote WebMD.com's coverage of HIV/AIDS awareness to further serve the health needs of diverse audience segments within WebMD.com.

"We're very pleased about our relationship with WebMD and the support they are giving GayHealth.com," said Dr. Stephen E. Goldstone, Medical Director of GayHealth.com(TM). "Given the immediacy of the XIII International AIDS Conference in Durban, South Africa, and the sobering news that is being released, we hope to provide our own sense of urgency to this important health issue."

"For important communications efforts like this one, we can offer a number of ways to reach our audience and a 'communications roadblock' is just one of them," added GayHealth.com(TM) President, Carl Pritzkat. "At GayHealth.com we work closely with our clients to learn new and innovative ways to best serve their unique needs."

Bolstered by a recent survey that showed lesbians and gay men have a significant need for trustworthy medical information, GayHealth.com(TM) publishes the Internet's highest-quality original healthcare information for gays and lesbians both "in" and "out-of-the-closet."

GayHealth.com(TM) (http://www.gayhealth.com) was founded in 1999 by the nation's top lesbian and gay medical professionals to serve the healthcare needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities worldwide.
