ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE
Like Mr. Mark, I believe that we are close to "getting in on the ground floor" with PALM. I entertain thoughts of it being the MSFT of the future (albeit minus the anti-trust accusations).
So, it was music to my ears, when my Mom, who lives on Sea Island, GA (a Yuppie enclave if ever there was one) reported the following to me. Seems my niece, a student at College of Charleston, came home last week and proclaimed: "Dad, I want a PALM!"
I'm a college instructor, and so far, only a few students wave their PALMs around, unlike the ubiquitous cell phones that seem permanently attached to their ears. I look forward to the day when the PALM is as visible as those obnoxious cell phones. My niece, who embodies the typical college preppie with way too much money and time, will get her PALM, as will all of her sorority sisters, and fraternity brothers, and well, you get the point.
As this scenario unfolds, I'm banking on smiling all the way. |
