You have every right to take pride in this thread. It's been a wonderful experience for everyone here. The people on this thread are some of the nicest and brightest people you're going to find anywhere on SI - or any other place on the web for that matter. I think it would be a shame to let this place to blow up because of a small misunderstanding. Apologies have been expressed and should be accepted. I know you feel bad that gizmo left - but that's his choice - he's a big boy and can make his own decisions. But that doesn't mean that everyone needs to act like a lemming and follow suit. Closing down this thread and starting another one, which you may have thought about doing, doesn't make much sense. There's a lot of history here. There's a lot of good people here. There's a lot of good information here and it should continue. Let's put all the bad feelings behind us and get on with it. It's a beautiful day here in Catalina and I'd like to go out and enjoy it.
