The TWX merger was a great announcement but we'll see if they can deliver anything valuable out of it. I would argue that both businesses will suffer at least a short to midterm drag due to merger related lack of focus.

I disagree i feel they knew that net fad was fading and they wanted to create a much more substantial company. One where teenagers grow with not out of.
You are probably right about mid term drag but i tend to think it it will be more due to interest rates AG and a more conservative investment community . I think AOL is one sharp company.
