Olympic Games Are a Big Fraud!!!
Thief wins race with Ben Johnson
Mercury News Wire Services ROME -- Ben Johnson, once the world record holder in the 100 meters, made an unexpected dash Wednesday to try to catch a woman who snatched his wallet, but she was quicker than he was.
``Everything happened too fast,'' said Johnson, 38, who lost about $7,000, as well as his driver's license, bank card and other documents.
Johnson, stripped of an Olympic gold medal in 1988 for doping, was about to walk into a currency exchange when he was approached by a woman and a girl about 10. While the girl distracted him with pleas for money, the woman apparently picked his pocket and took off.
``When I realized, 15 seconds later, that my wallet was gone, the woman had disappeared,'' possibly into the nearby entrance of a subway station, Johnson said. He grabbed the girl, but the wallet was not found. |
