Junior George is doing his best to spin the Texas deficit. The large budget surplus has suddenly turned into a 600 million dollar deficit, mostly due to his combination of spending increases and tax cuts (very Reaganesk). His current explanation is that it is not his deficit, because it won't actually be spent until next year and he's hoping to not be governor by then. Well I hope he's not governor then either, but I sure don't want him making national economic decisions. It's time he went back to baseball.
