There just isn't any reason for that. If the court ruled against them all they have to do is appeal to a higher court, and sooner or later one of them would acknowledge the incontestable, apolitical, legal fact that a US court has no jurisdiction over the custody or disposition of an illegal alien.

And a good thing it is. However, don't give ideas to the delusional super-conservatives, next they are going to push for a law that any US court will have jurisdiction over "die welt".

Come to think about it, didn't a US court found Generalisimo Noriega guilty of something, and so the US military when and "invited" him to step into the US ? It has been a while and I really do not remember the excuse.. er, pardon me, the legal reason to invade Panama and take the Supremo out of that country. [I confess, I did not mind it, since the guy was a total crook]

p.s. Do you know that if you rearrange the letters in "Fidel Castro" you get:

2. Docile fart.
