producers have been the biggest buyers of BoE gold. mostly to cover outstanding hedges. i believe a mistaken belief that they needed to support the market also played a role. well, now they have realized that the BoE is best attacked where it hurts... a general boycott of the auction would be great...or alternatively bids $20 below spot only.
