You think an intellectual disagreement (not couched in absolutely respectful terms) is the SAME as calling someone bacteria or smegma? I don't think SO. As in so many other things, we must completely disagree over this. The difference is between keeping up one's adult status or dropping to the level of an angry child. In a rough and tumble discussion it is not rude (imo) to call someone on the carpet for saying ridiculous things. When one addresses the FACTS one is staying in line. It is the ad hominem attack which can be rude and so very childish.

But since you engage in ad hominem attacks, and think they are quite the same as intellectual arguments, it is no wonder we disagree on this.

people not realize you're being rude and just as ugly as someone calling another
person "bacteria or smegma"? <
