Here are my 2 cents worth on the NON-ANNOUNCEMENT of a split.

The new acquisition is not a set amount of money. It is tied to PMCS stock. I believe it is 0.389 to 1 (do not quote me on this). The higher PMCS stock goes up, the more expensive the deal is. PMCS' management may have held the split announcement to keep the stock price from flying too high and costing them even more for the new company.

In the proxy that was sent out a few weeks ago, PMCS requested an increase from 200 to 700 Million shares. Under normal conditions PMCS would have announced a 2 for 1 or even a 3 for 1 split. I believe a 3 for 1 would have been announced especially since they only have 145 Million shares outstanding.

PMCS will still announce a split in the next few weeks. I am not sure of the timing though.
