Re: Settlement In a civil litigation such as this, settlement can occur at any point if the parties agree to such. I seriously doubt we'll see any movement in this area until after the Supreme Court rules on whether it will accept direct appeal. Expect that decision to be made after the court reconvenes in October. If the Supreme Court denies the direct appeal request (sending the case back to the DC Circuit Court of Appeals) we then have the November presidential election and depending on the outcome of that contest there could well be renewed interest in wrapping up this increasingly pointless waste of taxpayer money.
