I thought the conference call was very positive.

Highlights:

-Yes there were some people who left but attrition rate is substantially lower than typical Silicon Valley companies. Rumors simply overstated.

-Ramping to 100 sales people by years end

-IBM forecasts $100M/FY 2000 for MQ series product - NEON realizes 30-40% royalties but has only forecasted 5M per quarter for NEON's purposes (consertive according to Rick)

-IBM represents about 5% of NEON's revenue - important, but not that significant

-NEON will meet (or beat) analyst's expectations this quarter and two quarters following (NEON will make 3rd quarter numbers without any help from IBM)

-Positioned nicely to follow behind Broadvision/Ariba and others to perform second generation integration in Fortune 2000 companies

All in all a very positive conference call. One could sense the frustration over the constant rumors of bad blood between IBM and NEON, but Rick reminded everyone that at the Las Vegas show last month NEON and IBM presented jointly and IBM reiterated the strength and synergies of the relationship.

Next week should help to clear up any doubts.

Hope this helps.

Bob
