Yes, the call was positive, but more "matter-of-fact" like. I, for one, would use the adjective "very" to qualify the positive nature of Rick's comments.

NEON is in a quiet period, so more or less, he is precluded from discussing certain data that would be more indicative of the longer term direction of the Company. In contrast, Rick chose to limit his topics to those raised by the rumors circulating yesterday such as NEON's relationship with IBM, the departure or possible departure of "key" employees, etc., as well as clarification of NEON's position with some of its other customers ie. BEAS.

Notwithstanding Rick's effort in response to yesterday's action, the market appears to either be unimpressed, or not listening, and I don't know what to make of it after yesterday's late afternoon partial retrenchment. Perhaps many investors bailed, and may be unwilling to test the waters until NEON shed's more light on its future business when earnings are released, figuring that most of the pre-earnings run-up in the stock was realized in the low 40s. Who knows?

Next week is option expiration, and I figured much of the action last week was around the 40 level. However, it may appear that the MM are taking the stock down a notch to the 35 level in light of yesterday's "developments." Just a guess, as I find today's interesting a wee bit surprising.
