The judgement against Philip Morris exceeds it's current market value, and the awards would put all five major tobacco companies out of business were they upheld. But the appeals process will take many, many years, so the proverbial "jury" is still out on what will eventually happen to the tobacco companies when all of the dust finally settles..... This is just my opinion, but juries in this country are becoming increasingly "insane" with their judgements, and it is getting more and more difficult to trust the current legal system, as things are really getting crazy and spinning out of control. I do not smoke and am not "pro-tobacco", but this judgement today was just plain nuts. (in my opinion) Yogi
