the good news appears to be that they did not announce any bad news or any surprises. Who was expecting bad news? They did not pre-announce in the way of missed earnings, but pre-announced in the way of positive earnings. Repeated reports emanating from IR was that there was no substance behind any of the rumors circulating yesterday, which was the sole purpose of today's CC. What did you really expect? IMHO, what I heard is what I expected. Nothing to get excited about (1) on the upside since NEON has pre-announced where earnings will be, generally come announcement day; and (2) on the downside since I anticipated Rick to do absolutely what he did -- refute the rumors. And to Susan: yesterday's selloff was based upon comments coming from CSFB re: NEON. Any belief that such comments were attributed to NESY, or there was confusion between NEON and the same, are completely without merit. Repeated efforts to highlight this as a source of the selloff, while well-intended, was unfounded with respect to what happened yesterday.
