that is same reason i refuse to go to medical school. i don't want the paycut. No argument there. Medicine is a noble profession, but the health care reimbursement/litigation/bureaucratic environment is so f**ked up, that it's much less fun, and even more work than before. Tell you my secret plan. Qualcomm hits a certain number, my Fat Lady sings, I become financially independent, I stay in Medicine, but cut back to 26 weeks. That way, I enjoy Medicine more because I'm doing it less; and I have more time for my family, my interests, and so on. This year put a major dent in the plan. And because my better half won't allow options/leaps/margin/trading, it'll take longer in my house than it might in some others. But one of these years......I think the Fat Lady will sing. And then we can go fishin'. Hell, maybe we can drag Buckley with us........what would be more fun than seeing him upchuck on the rolling high seas? ca
