haqihana, I completely agree with you. I would love to see the black community get ahead but I don't really think they will do it as long as they follow the wrong leaders. The general black population looks with suspicion on people like Colon Powell, J.C. Watts, etc.. And, these are the right people to look on as role models. They need to quit defending criminals and instead, let the criminals know they are giving the black community a very bad name. They need to work to build the family unit. I know some do but they are not properly respected for their efforts and are not looked on as community leaders. When we all saw the giant applause when O.J. was declared innocent and the celebration you know someone is looking in the wrong direction.
