Thanks Tom: Well, let me tell you an RR life story about this week. I knew this was going to be an absolutely awesome week. As you know, I wasn't around much.

Had a situation at work come up last week while the family was out in Colo. Had to return unexpectedly and take a monster case to trial. I worked constantly long hours since returning late last week to prepare.

I remember early Monday waking up getting ready and then the JDSU news hit. There I was dressing into a power suit, getting ready to walk into Federal Court in two hours and bam, the JDSU news and the stock reaction, huge gap down on my number one holding by a substantial margin. Ok, how do I stay focused with this going on!

I knew then it was one of my weeks to be tested. As I have mentioned before, I believe we are tested at times in life. You get up and just get the living daylights knocked out of ya. That's life, but the key is how you handle it.

Looked like at times this week there wasn't a darn thing going right. Awful, just awful..... but, I didn't give up (still have not forgotten your quote BTW), and I remember that early Monday morning, JDSU going across the screen down 20 or so, and looking up at Holly and saying "Sounds like a lot of challenges this week for us. That means lots of opportunities." Attitude.....depends on how you look at things and I try to choose the most positive way!

Well, I went on 3-4 hrs sleep each night until the trial ended yesterday. What a challenge, an endurance. We won. A major victory. And during that time, even though I wasn't where I could watch the market, or see what it was doing, I had my plan, executed, and went forward with it. I ended up positioning myself in some darn fine positions in spite of all the turmoil I had going.

So, what started out as a killer week, ended in victory, all the way around. What looked horrible in the beginning ended just fine. Super. I get pumped when hard work, determination, and a "don't quit" attitude pays off, if I do say so myself. It inspires the heck out of me. Also, the support, help, and confidence from a loving spouse over the years does wonders......
