Dave, thanks for your input, but...

I was first introduced to computers around 1953. Since then I have used many mainframes, running different operating systems and program in just about every language. I spent about 15 years using DEC's smaller PDP series, primarily the pdp1170, running UNIX.

I am not afraid of battling with LINUX on my PC, just do not know if I want to spend the time fooling with it and also Void the Warrenty on my PC.

I have plenty of complaints about MSFT's W98 -- not my favorite choice. The only program I would miss is Quicken. But anyhooooo I can segment the hard drive and run both -- which is what I would do IF I added LINUX.

Computers have never scared me. I just do not want to chance having mine out of commission.

Thanks again, Merry
