Tales of a Qualcomm Junkie, Part II The gravest mistakes I have made have been in my IRA. It started in early January with 1800 shares of Qualcomm. Early that month I foolishly split it and bought 30 Jan2001-175's. Whew! Immediately those started getting toasted. An opportunity to cut my losses on them was blown in late March. The rest is history! The symbol for what I refer to as my "fantasy leaps" is AUAAO. They have doubled in the last three days. <ggg> They are now bidding 7/8 and asking 1 1/8. QCOM and JDSU are my holdings in my IRA. But a strong "miracle" movement by Qualcomm could salvage those AUAAO's. I hereby request a complete Porch Prayer Session and an active Porch Pep Rally for those AUAAO's. I plan to salvage those AUAAO's!!!! They certainly aren't worth selling. Why bother? So, they fit into the Tom "teeny" category. They can recover. How? 1) Good earnings in July and October 2) Nokia 3) AT&T 4) HDR 5) China 6) Japan 7) Korea 8) Latin America 9) wCDMA (always a small "w" until convincing field tests) clarity, or lack thereof 10) . . . . As I said, they aren't worth selling. So? A Porch Pep Rally for those AUAAO's!!! Go! Go! Go! Go! I expect to get at least 10 for those suckers! I estimate that the following quotes on Qualcomm will get me 10: mid August (130), mid September (140), mid October (150), mid November (160), mid December (170). Any comments on those numbers? Opinions and pep rally support are certainly appreciated. Off to Cuba Monday for three weeks. Let the Cuba rally continue. JDSU is now on the official "Cuba rally" team.
