I thought this board was to be used for discussing "Last Mile" solutions; current and evolving. From my limited experience reading and posting on the board I've unfortunately discovered that not to be the case. I find the tone to be haughty and rude to newcomers. This was the case when I first posted, and again now.

I assume that if Lucent or Next Level or Broadcom began producing VDSL chipsets that extended VDSL's reach to 15,000 feet that even the most skeptical regular on this board would have to accept that a breakthrough has been made. The fact that a unknown company in San Diego has such a technology seems to be simply unacceptable.

Come down off your high horses gentlemen. You do not have a corner on every strategic development in the last mile race - I assure you.
