Hi Mark <COMS is cheap now because of radical restructuring>

This radical restructuring has been well publicized for months now. So why does the chart look like a topographical map of the andes when compared to the nasdaq or sector leader? EB said months ago that the ratio would be 1:1.5, so why has the stock suddenly run up 52% in 12 trading days? Could it be that the street was saying, we'll only believe that number when we see it? If the recent acceleration in $/share was due to the finalization of the split ratio, that does not bode well for the resurrection of EB's credibility<G>.

<i do not think 'the street' is shunning this stock. on the contrary, i think they are beginning to wake up to the company's prospects.>

I agree that the very recent price action reflects this, but....
In the past 10days or so, on separate occasions, I've heard 3 guests on cnnfn and cnbc (bob walberg of briefing was one of them) unanimously tell the viewers to stay away from coms. Maybe they're just getting their institutional investors in through the back door before they start singing "coms is cheap" again <G>. It would not surprise me if coms ran up another 10 or 20 bucks in the next 2 weeks and the same gurus start screaming at us to buy coms at 90 before the distribution. Same old story? Sound familiar?
Nothing, I mean nothing, surprises me with this stock anymore.

<eric's reputation is in the process of being mended. >

This may or may not be so, but as the saying goes:
Can you really teach an old dog new tricks<G>?(sorry)

Given a choice, would you rather buy cheap shares in a company with the ceo who cried wolf, or pay a premium for a company who's ceo has a proven record of integrity, increasing market share, growth in the most profitable niches, and consistent performance.I'm not naming names here.<G>

It just comes down to a personal choice for me. I will trade a stock based mostly on the charts and ignore the noise, but when it comes to holding shares for the long run, what EB (and the former ceo of mattel) has taught me is, regardless of all other considerations, if the ceo does not have a proven history of integrity and consistent performance, well.....Garcon...check please.

regards and best of luck with coms comsv palm palmv and planet palm :-)

Mike

btw, I just thought of a new and foolproof investment criteria. Which ceo would you rather have over for dinner, EB or JC? BG or SM? <G>
