Aus - There may have been a time in business when it was possible to compete because you had more money or a bigger reputation than others. There was a time when you needed a huge steel industry in order to be a military power, you needed battleships.

Today a cruise missile carried by a MTB is more powerful than the biggest battleship that ever sailed and you don't need a steel industry and in business just because you are a big company with huge international resources doesn't mean you are going to be able to compete on the World stage.....today you need very very smart brains....tiny companies with big brains will be able to dominate big companies who may have less brain power.

Fund managers outside of the US haven't really caught on to this...they still insisit on having their portfolios stuffed with old "blue chip' companies many of whose time has now past and who have no business being public.

What fun! Great opportunities for investment minded techies.
