The private company they own a stake in is PointBase which has Java database technology and claims to be the leader in mobile wireless data management. They make enterprise data available to wireless devices. Note that in this press release: biz.yahoo.com which is about DMC's ability to administer DataMirror Transformation Server from cell phones and other wireless devices, they say DataMirror Transformation Server has become a critical component of the IT infrastructure for many of the company's customers, supporting e-Business, business intelligence and other distributed data applications. Customers need to be able to continuously monitor the status of data replication and act quickly to respond to replication needs. This was the paragraph that initially made me think that DMC might have the wireless technology that COGN was looking for. Data Transformation Server, which together with iTransmit, interfaces to the PointBase products and makes enterprise data available to wireless devices sounds to me like what COGN wants. It sounds like everyone thinks I'm way out in left field, so maybe I am. I guess I'll just drop it. DMC looks like a good investment in its own right, though. Carl
