Nice post Frank. Just a refresher since I posted these links in June when the articles appeared as to why Nortel is not a Rule Maker over at the Fool. Here they are again:

Once again, both articles are written by TMF Grape (Phil Weiss). The second article is the metric look at Nortel. Certainly not a 'bad' investment and the numbers smoke the heck out of Lucent's ugly numbers. However, Cisco's numbers are so much better it draws the conclusion for me that I have no need for Nortel (or Lucent) in my portfolio because there are plenty of investments we all follow with 'better' numbers.

P.S. Enjoy your sail on Sunday. I would love to have been there, but my son and I are holding two 'hot' tickets to the Giants afternoon game. It's hard to watch baseball in Austria, so we are getting our fill at Giants and A's games while we are here.
