E-mail from Jeff Bezos....

I haven't checked all of the messages lately, so I'm not sure if this has already been posted.

I've always liked Amazon....and I am one of their long time, and "frequent" customers!

Subject: Amazon.com turns 5! Come help us celebrate...
From: Jeff Bezos <anniversary-thanks@amazon.com>

Dear early, early Amazon Customer,

You really are dear to us.

Five years ago, when hardly anyone had even heard of Amazon.com, you
came to shop with us.

As if that weren't enough, you told your friends about us. And they
told their friends.

Your faith in us from the beginning has much to do with how far we've
come. And so much has changed in our store over the past five
years. As one of our earliest customers, you might get a kick out of
a little nostalgic blast from the past.

We've resurrected an early Amazon.com home page and opened the gate
to the Amazon.com logo graveyard. (I hope we change our logo less
often going forward!) Take a peek:

amazon.com

Both are part of a special fifth anniversary section of our store
that includes an Amazon.com timeline, and a "best of" our two-plus
million customer reviews. It's pretty fun stuff. You'll find it all
in Five Years of Favorites at amazon.com. I hope
you enjoy it.

Again, many, many thanks for helping us reach our five-year
anniversary. We look forward to celebrating many more with you.

Sincerely,

Jeff Bezos
Founder and CEO
