Korean semi manufacturers are setting records.

Domestic semiconductor manufacturers are enjoying an unprecedented sales boom, with Samsung Electronics
surpassing 6 trillion won ($5.38 billion) in chip sales between January-June for the first time. A Samsung official said his company sold 3.7 trillion won worth of memory chips, 900 billion won in non-memory chips and 1.7 trillion won from TFT-LCDs during the first half of the year.

Over $3 billion in memory chips sold in 6 months???

Thankfully Samsung is a SanDisk licensee.

The SanDisk Q2 earnings will undoubtedly reflect an increase in global flash production during 2000 with an increase in royalty payments.

As Eli replied in one prior c.c. when asked why royalties had gone up...

"I guess our licensees have been busy."
