My guess is it wouldn't take that long, two to three years maybe.
IMO during this period there is no fear that the ITC will block imports. I make that judgement on the fact the ITC would make an economic assessment of the impact on the PC industry. Blocking DRAM would have severe economic impact on all facets of the industry, and IMO it's not an option. The downside for the makers is the fee's could be retroactive if they lose. All in all a very dicey game for everyone. FYI, here's a link to the ITC rules. I think sections 210.50, 210.66 and 210.67 would apply in this instance.
