Thanks for the update on lead times. Contrast this with an article in the latest issue of BARRON'S, which praises the "fortitude and independence" of the analyst at Salomon Smith Barney, who a couple of weeks ago downgraded the entire semiconductor sector from outperform to neutral. One of his arguments, it turns out, was that prices of 8 mb flash memory chips were dropping, suggesting a glut.

Now it couldn't be, just COULDN'T be due to Moore's law, or could it? At any rate, what is clear to most people who follow these companies closely, and not just follow the financials, is that business is booming. BARRON'S and SSB apparently haven't figured that out yet, which simply means more buying opportunities for the rest of us. This is another classic example of not seeing the trees for the forest.
