re: huge volume on an upside move after earnings and that we have seen the bottom at 51 1/2.

That is very possible.

I deliberately set my series of limit buy orders (for this and other stocks) so that only a fraction of them clear. For instance, when I bought my MSFT LEAPs on 5/31, that was only my first purchase, and I never got any more. I was prepared to buy a lot more, but only if the stock got a lot cheaper. I only buy when I'm very very sure I'm getting a great price on a great stock. That means passing up a lot of opportunities, studying stocks and then not holding much of them when they take off. And I also wait and do nothing until I'm sure, so I knowingly take the risk of waiting too long. When the stock hit 52, it was falling off a cliff, and I had no idea where the bottom was. I still don't.

IMO, when an investor says, "I have to own this stock", he usually pays too much for it. I don't have to own anything; I'm not married to any stock.

If I win, you buy me a beer.
If you win, I look for another stock to put my money into.
I don't go back to my day job, either way.

I like win-win better than win-lose games.
