The Parts or the Whole

pat,

I think that may have been true before.....but may not be this time around.

I think you have a large gain coming as WCAP moves from trading at a discount, to trading at a premium.....and you also have a stable full of IPOs that could rocket the asset values even further....an explosive growth premium may be in order.

I'm not so sure this will be driven so much by the other stocks in the public portfolio..(near term)...but rather by CMRC and the IPOs that are now lined up....waiting for a good window.

So watch what happens to CMRC.......If CMRC gets the "Ariba" treatment next Wednesday......and marches off to $100+....then I think WCAP will go back to $30....or higher. Pull a chart and compare asset values then and now....and then again with a $100+ CMRC shareprice....I think you will be able to see it.

WCAP going from $15 to $30 is a better play than CMRC going from $70 to $100. I think just a few analysts raising their price targets for CMRC next week will pop WCAP's cork. <g>

You may be correct......but I think the 1-2-3 punch is in WCAP's favor at this time.

Just my opinion.

ps. Another side note.....that is interesting.....is prospect that WCAP may soon be faced with the same "happy" problem they had last Winter....being that the value of their CMRC holdings is just too large.

Last time..(Winter)..they sold a big chunk of CMRC....and "decided" to keep the money. They now have a huge # of IPOs....and a big wad of cash from that one.

Yikes!......and they still have $50,000,000 in CMRC.

Next time around?...What will they "decide" to do?...They may wish to just distribute some of those CMRC shares directly to shareholders....say....400k?

I will bet you 10 cigars....that if they decide to do such a thing....(I think it can be done tax free).....then this "discount" to asset value and the "market ignoring this company" thing will get fixed big time!
