Ross Systems Gets $1.2 Million Commitment From Japanese Partner

ATLANTA, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Systems (Nasdaq: ROSS), a leading supplier of enterprise software and e-business consultation, announced an agreement with Japanese software distributor System Plaza Inc. that is expected to yield $1.2 million in revenue during the next year for Ross Systems. System Plaza enjoyed a robust quarter with three new customers, strong demand for consulting services and new functionality in Ross' products for the Japanese market.

"Our pipeline is strong and growing in the Japanese market, our consulting utilization rates are high, and we expect to exceed our objectives in the coming year," said Hiroshi Madono, president of System Plaza. "Our customers and prospects are also very excited about the new Resynt e-business offerings from Ross Systems."

"Our products have great reach and appeal, even on the other side of the world," said J. Patrick (Pat) Tinley, CEO and president of Ross Systems. "We have commitments from System Plaza to sell more than $1.2 million, a major commitment to the e-business and ERP products we develop."

Systems Plaza signed contracts with Maruzen Petrochemical, Nihon Microcoating and Yokogawa Financial Services this past quarter. The addition of these three new clients solidifies Ross Systems' position as a leader in the mid-market process-manufacturing industry in Japan.

Ross Systems' new software release, iRenaissance version 5.5, includes new functionality that addresses local Japanese and other global market needs. iRenaissance 5.5 enhances functionality in these areas: inventory control, sales management, manufacturing, quality, accounts receivable and logistics.

"This version of iRenaissance is now fully compliant in the Japanese marketplace," said Eric Musser, vice president of worldwide development of Ross Systems. "It's one thing to translate a product to Japanese, but it's quite another to enhance your ERP offering to meet the local accounting and compliance standards of a particular market. With this new release, all of our global customers will be able to seamlessly upgrade to future versions of our products."
