MMGC sells home IMPROVEMENT morgages, which are of significantly higher risk than home PURCHASE loans. MMGC is not competing with AAM, it's a niche player, out of AAM's sector. Also the stock (MMGC) has not been "cut in half", but lost slightly over 10%.
