It has nothing to do with "millionaire Congressmen" or "large corporations." That is the view of another failed system: Marxism.

In actuality, our political problem stems from the fact that both major political parties are "federalists" and therefore find just about the same "solutions" to challenges that are brought to their attention. That's why -- Republicans or Democrats -- the country has been heading in the same general direction since the Civil War. You can thank Hamilton for promoting that idea in the late 1700s and betraying the American Revolution.

Add to this the fact that a significant portion who occupy Congress are lawyers who want to write more and more laws each year to keep their profession booming, and you have a witch's stew from hell...
