That new report makes it clear that the purchase price is in the range of $50million and will not materially affect earnings. SGI had revenues of about $900 million last quarter, so $50million expense is a drop in the bucket. ParaGraph has some pretty interesting VRML and digital ink technology (see paragraph.com ). The idea of combining it with Cosmo Software is to jump-start SGI's cross-platform (read Win'95 and NT) software effort.
