Rambi, I have to disagree in this sense. People are individuals and there have been many cases of people who thought they were gay turning straight later in life. I don't believe it's as black and white as you suggest. Environment can effect people and cause them to be gay, or cause them to deny their homosexuality and be straight.

Just to make this clear, I am not suggesting that all gay people are closet heterosexuals or anything. Simply that variations do exist and a small number of gay people could simply be emotionally disturbed and confused to the point that their sexual orientation is unclear. The same is true of heterosexuals.

In other words, people are individuals. Some people who profess to be heterosexual and live a heterosexual lifestyle could actually be gay and vice a versa.

Environment can play a role in the identification of sexual orientation. Just as it can play a role in many other things.
