mr.mark, you will see my reply to PMS Witch. this is confusing. Try using Explorer to search for index.dat. (Tools find) I will be interested in what you see. Do you have one in cookies and one in Content IE5? Yet when you look in IE5 no index.dat. Windows dos not even a folder. Am going to reboot now to dos and see. It does seem to be an illusion but why make it so complicated. KC
