I don't know the industry well enough to feel comfortable discussing FBCE in relation to their competitors. My impression and what I have been able to gather is that these guys have deep experience in the optical fiber area. They discussed process improvements that they are working on that has the potential to dramatically improve their yields. I don't know if those have come to fruition or not, I haven't called the company since I visited. These guys seem to have carved out a nice chunk of the market and with the trend for fiber consumption I have to think that they are well positioned to benefit. I drive up and down Route 495 in Mass. every day, and right now someone is laying 5 cables chock full o'fiber right up the median strip - just like they did earlier on the Mass Pike. The short-haul fiber spurs off of these backbones should use the type of fiber created by FBCE. Also, Tyco now owns 17% - obviously they like the story. Regards, pkf
