Apparently no one in this thread has ever worked for a publicly traded company. Let me explain how execs in publicly traded co's are compensated. Each year, they are given large chunks of stock that mature over a given period of time. These execs and directors depend on these maturing options as part of their income, and thus often sell them at maturity. For example, if you look at the recent press releases on the PS execs' salaries, most make in the high 100K to low 200K range. Low by today's standards. BUT, they get large numbers of stock options, which obviously incents them to do their jobs well, presumably rising the stock price. They get paid, and investors are happy. So, saying that the CEO et al selling large amounts of stock is an indicator of future company performance is pure ignorance. Do your homework, guys.
