Don't get me wrong Flash is an important area to be in especially if you can shrink the die sizes and keep above the curve it should be a cash cow. The problem with being known for flash is when over capacity takes over (and it will) you are dragged down as it becomes a commodity. SiGe, ASIC, smartcards etc. don't become commodities they are application specific. Intel & AMD have Flash but their known for microprocessors. My point is that I don't think the average Joe understands Atmel's story (a good story at that). Mario
