Thanks for the post, Brian! So it appears that AMAT has decided on who to partner with in the photolithography arena. UTEK doesn't have the reputation of ASML and the like, but then it's probably cheaper to get started with them as a consequence.

And they're starting in a "corner" of the technology space, probably to see if they enjoy dancing together (read: both make money!). If all goes well, then maybe a merger or acquisition down the road.

Stay tuned! AMAT may yet become a true and complete "one stop shopping" outlet for Si processing equipment....
