I recently started using a credit card that had been gathering dust for a number of years. The credit line was a little light, so I called and requested that they double it, expecting an increase of perhaps 33 to 50%. Instead, they tripled the credit line. Does this add to the anecdotal evidence? My husband and I do maintain an excellent credit rating, but it still surprised me that it happened. I can see how someone less determined to keep a pristine credit rating could get themselves in trouble.

Regards,

Barb
