I'm not assured in the least. An equity bear market does not ensure that gold stocks will do well at all. Gold stocks only buck the trend 40%-45% of the time. It depends if the dollar declines too. Otherwise, gold stocks will decline with the rest of the broad market.

If you look at the strength of the dollar today, there is clearly nothing to get excited about with gold.

I expect the equity market to consolidate and chop around for a while before the next rally. Nothing unusual here.
