Cube, take a look at this, freaking unbelievable, revenue declined 90% despite selling stuff at 25% of cost. BTW, the Chairman is also chairman of SCON.

Regards,

Tom

Company Press Release

NPI Reports Second Quarter Financial Results

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2000--Network Peripherals Inc.
(NPI, Nasdaq: NPIX) today reported financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2000. Consistent with its
preliminary announcement on June 26, 2000, revenues were $339,000, compared to $3.4 million in the second quarter
of 1999. Net loss for the quarter was $4.9 million, or $0.32 per share, compared to a net loss of $2.6 million, or $0.21
per share, reported in the same quarter of 1999.

``We were disappointed with the factors that led to the unsatisfactory financial results last quarter and which interrupted
the increasing momentum for our products in the marketplace,'' stated William Rosenberger, President and CEO of
Network Peripherals. ``As previously disclosed, the new advanced features implemented in our software destabilized
what had been a stable product. This had multiple consequences, namely reduced orders from our OEM and VAR
partners as well as slower than expected testing by customers and potential OEMs, which resulted in delayed orders.''
