I wouldn't want to offer an opinion on that until I knew more about a couple of things, specifically what they meant by "sold into slavery" and how the child was exposed to HIV. There are a number of forms of slavery into which Thai children are routinely sold. Several carry a high HIV risk. It is also entirely possible that if the child were sold into prostitution, the grandparents may have been aware of this move and even in collusion with it. If this is the case, returning him would probably result in another sale.

But hey, we all know Thailand is free, not commie, and that kids there have infinitely better lives and possibilities than their Cuban counterparts. So of course he should go back.
