That is GREAT!!!!! And Jason certainly understood the idea of rank, didn't he! What did the teacher say about it? I hope she had SOME sense of humor. ALthough if she were speaking rudely, it seems unlikely.
I was horrified by some of the things I saw in public school. the first time I went to lunch with CW, he told me we couldn't talk until we finished eating, and this huge woman with, I kid you not, a bullhorn, started screaming at the lunchroom "Shut up! EVerybody shut up and eat".
It suddenly dawns on me that THAT's where CW got the idea for his little assembly discipline act. I never thought of it.
I went straight to the principal's office after lunch, and do you know what he said? "Mrs.Westbrook, that's what these kids understand. That's the language they're comfortable with."
Not MY child, buddy. (well- not til they corrupted him) There was no choice but private in Dallas. I feel bad saying that, because I had some wonderful friends who were teachers in the system. |
