I didn't argue that the decision would stick. I only pointed out that going against the will of the people was a poor ploy and joining that will would yield a far greater payoff than resisting it. So what did Att pay for their pyrrhic victory?

What do you mean no one could prove that it could be done? Technically it isn't that difficult as we discussed thoroughly, but Milo didn't want to disturb his own rickety and so he protested. After a period of several months he toned it down when some competitors made some hard to beat counter arguments. Frank had said it wasn't that difficult although he was thinking in terms of headend up.

Yes, the chief problem is management by committee. ATHM is jeopardized by that. The socialists are masters of using the committee to achieve their own greedy ends. How much confidence and trust can that arrangement induce in Att senior management?

As I had mentioned several weeks ago 1 - 5 are antitrust provoking. That's outside of Justice's jurisdiction, I think, but it isn't if it operates to some degree on American soil. It is still under European jurisdiction though. I believe that Att must divest itself of the V tracker for this to escape blocking review. Otherwise, Chello is a shell corporation created to escape anti-trust.

It is this:

Bell and the guys at Chello take their marching orders from ATT and Malone.

that invites trouble.
