Niceguy,

You wrote "And by the way, who besides you and Dan3, last December, would have entertained the possibility of AMD at $90 today."

I did. That_crazy_doug and I work at the same location, so he can vouch for this as an eye witness. I've been trying to convince everyone I know to buy AMD since last October. Back when AMD was $18, I became convinced that AMD would hit $300 in slightly over a year. I wrote on a corner of my whiteboard the progression I believed it would follow. This is what has been written on my whiteboard for the last six months:

Oct '99 $18
Jan '00 $31
Apr '00 $55
Jul '00 $96
Oct '00 $168
Jan '01 $296

Those numbers are from memory so a few might be off by a buck or so, but I'm 100% sure about the July and Jan 01 numbers. I took some good natured ribbing at work because I blew April so badly.

Amazingingly enough, despite making these predictions, I have failed miserably on short term option plays. I've made a fortune on the stock, writing puts, and buying leap calls, but short term options I've actually lost a few thousand.

Mike
