hi joe... i still have the msft calls, lots of them... i saw that msft traded up 2 points in ah, but closed up only 3/8 i think... we'll have to see what tomorrow brings...

here is something interesting i found in my options newsletter, and it does seem to be true... sell the news is running rampant so far this earnings season...

Earnings, Earnings, And More Earnings

Over the last two years, the announcement period for second-quarter
earnings has not been well received by the investing community. As
seen in the graph below, July 1998 and July 1999 marked intermediate-
term market tops on the venerable S&P 500 Index (SPX). In both 1998
and 1999, the SPX rallied into the earnings season only to have a "sell-
on-the-news" reaction over subsequent weeks. It will be interesting to

see how the price action for the broader market plays out over the rest

of this week and the next, as this may be the precursor for the price
action until the next Fed meeting on August 22.
